When Politics Meet Production: Looking Back at Our Hendrix Genetics Swine Inspirationsdag in Denmark

Under the theme “Sammen Om Fremtidens Griseproduktion”, the day was built around one clear ambition: creating a space to look ahead, exchange perspectives and explore what the future of pig production will require from all of us.

Hendrix Genetics Swine Inspirationsdag 2026 brought together a wide range of insights on the forces shaping our industry today. Agenda included contributions from

The program covered some of the most important topics for Danish and international pig production, including market uncertainty, responsible breeding, animal welfare expectations, future pork trade and lessons from integrated production models.

Together, these contributions created a strong and complete picture of an industry that is moving forward, but also one that needs collaboration, adaptability and long-term thinking.

A Special Perspective From Noa Redington

Among the different sessions of the day, Noa Redington brought a particularly valuable perspective with his presentation “Når politik møder produktion: Fremtiden for dansk svinebrug”.

Known in Denmark as a political commentator, journalist and former advisor to Helle Thorning Schmidt, Noa brought the conversation beyond production performance alone.

His participation helped open an important discussion on the connection between politics, public debate and pig production. For producers, this perspective matters. The future of the sector is not only shaped by genetics, efficiency and farm management. It is also shaped by regulation, social expectations, political decisions and the way agriculture is understood by the wider public.

By bringing this broader lens to the stage, Noa helped connect everyday production challenges with the bigger forces influencing Danish pig farming. His presentation added a different and highly relevant dimension to the day.
