Two Years of Building the Future of Swine Genetics
At EuroTier 2024, Hypor and Danish Genetics celebrated the beginning of a shared journey. Two years later, the Swine Division of Hendrix Genetics is returning to Hanover with a stronger organization, a broader swine genetics portfolio and a new project that could change how producers approach genetic progress on their farms.
A EuroTier celebration to remember
In 2024, to mark the beginning of this new chapter, Hendrix Genetics hosted an engagement celebration at the shared booth of Hypor and Danish Genetics. Customers, partners and colleagues from around the world came together for an evening of inspiring speeches, meaningful conversations, music and a symbolic wedding cake.
Beyond the celebration, the partnership reflected a clear ambition: to combine the breeding experience, genetic, international networks and research capabilities of Hypor and Danish Genetics. Following the completion of the merger in January 2025, both organizations officially joined forces under Hendrix Genetics Swine.
EuroTier marked the beginning of a shared journey. The next step was to turn this common ambition into meaningful progress for pig producers worldwide.

Two genetic stories moving in one direction
Hypor and Danish Genetics each brought a strong identity and valuable expertise to the partnership.
Hypor contributed its experience in balanced breeding, with a focus on robust animals, predictable performance and profitability across the production system.
Danish Genetics brought a strong Danish breeding heritage supported by more than a century of experience in swine genetics, selective breeding and data driven research and development.
By combining these complementary strengths, Hendrix Genetics Swine created a broader foundation for genetic progress and innovation. This foundation is particularly important in today’s swine industry as pig producers operate in an increasingly demanding environment. High genetic potential remains essential, but producers also need animals that are manageable, predictable and capable of delivering consistent results throughout the production chain.
Nexus 100: the first result of a shared vision
Introducing Nexus 100 at SPACE 2025
One of the most significant milestones in this journey was the introduction of Nexus 100, the first hybrid sow launched under the new Nexus brand.
Officially unveiled at SPACE 2025, Nexus 100 is a new generation F1 sow that combines the complementary strengths of the Hypor and Danish Genetics breeding programs. She was bred for producers looking for greater predictability, stability and control across their production systems.

The X Factor in Your Growth
Nexus 100 represents a balanced approach to modern pig production supporting the Hendrix Genetics Swine vision of Total System Profitability. Nexus 100 supports producers by reducing variability, simplifying daily management and building more reliable long-term performance.
The next chapter will be revealed at EuroTier 2026
From 10 to 13 November 2026, Hendrix Genetics Swine will return to EuroTier in Hanover. Visitors will connect with one unified global swine genetics company supported by a complete portfolio of dam lines, sire lines and hybrid solutions for different production systems and breeding objectives. Nexus 100 will naturally be an important part of that story as the balanced sow designed for modern pig production.
However, EuroTier 2026 will not only showcase our achievements, but also our future direction.
Modern pig producers face an important question. How can genetic progress be maintained over time while helping farms strengthen biosecurity, improve consistency and gain greater control over their replacement strategy?
At Hendrix Genetics Swine, we believe the next stage of innovation will come from connecting high-quality genetics with the way progress is delivered, developed and measured directly on the farm.
What if genetic progress didn’t come from outside anymore?
At EuroTier 2026, visitors will be among the first to discover our answer. The new project will represent another step in the Swine division of Hendrix Genetics journey, connecting our genetic expertise with the realities and ambitions of modern pig producers.
