Brazilian cooperative leaders gain insight into Hendrix Genetics' multi-species strategy

In October, presidents and vice presidents from several leading Brazilian cooperatives and animal protein companies visited the Netherlands and Denmark to learn more about Hendrix Genetics, its long-term strategy, and how the company supports animal protein producers around the world.

The mission brought together industry leaders to exchange experiences, discuss future challenges facing animal production, and gain insights into topics such as sustainability, production efficiency, and the responsible use of antibiotics.

During the program, the group met with shareholders and members of Hendrix Genetics' global leadership team, providing an opportunity to better understand the company's culture, long-term outlook, and investment strategy. Participants also visited research facilities and production operations, seeing first-hand how Hendrix Genetics combines science, innovation, genetics, and technical expertise to support customers today and in the future.

A key topic throughout the visit was collaboration across Hendrix Genetics' different business units. The Layers and Swine teams shared how they are working more closely together to support cooperatives and companies operating across multiple animal protein sectors. By bringing together knowledge, innovation, and experience from different species, Hendrix Genetics can deliver additional value to customers with multi-species operations.

The group also learned more about recent developments within Hendrix Genetics, including the full integration of the Swine business into Hendrix Genetics. This further strengthens collaboration across the company's businesses and supports continued investment in research, innovation, and genetic progress to meet the future needs of global food production.

Genetics is only the starting point. The real value lies in our ability to connect people, knowledge, science, and innovation to help our customers grow sustainably. That is the vision we aimed to share during this visit, and it will continue to guide our partnerships in the years ahead.

For cooperatives and companies active across multiple animal protein sectors, this integrated approach combines world-class genetics, technical expertise, innovation, and global experience. Beyond providing genetics, Hendrix Genetics focuses on building long-term partnerships that help customers improve competitiveness, sustainability, and growth.

One of the key takeaways from the visit was that the future challenges facing animal production can no longer be solved in isolation. Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation across species and sectors are becoming increasingly important. Through its global network, Hendrix Genetics remains committed to supporting the sustainable growth of the animal protein sector and helping its customers prepare for the future.
