Press Release: Hendrix Genetics Swine Partners Publish 2024 Results – Danish-Led Integration Delivers Positive Consolidated Performance
Vejle, Denmark – The partner companies that form Hendrix Genetics Swine - including Danish Pig Genetics, Hypor and their shareholders – have released their 2024 Annual Reports. Taken together, the results show a positive consolidated performance, extending several years of profitable growth and confirming that the merger announced the 14th of January 2025 is on track to deliver its strategic goals.
Danish Pig Genetics contributed a net profit of just under DKK 10 million and reinforced its equity base to DKK 49.5 million, illustrating the strength of its Danish nucleus and customer relationships. While individual entities experienced different market pressures, the group as a whole remained in the black – laying a solid foundation for further progress in 2025.
“We are proud that the global swine headquarters of Hendrix Genetics Swine are based here in Denmark,” says Raf Beeren, Managing Director of Hendrix Genetics Swine.
“Keeping Danish expertise at the heart of our worldwide breeding program – while giving customers access to the resources, data science and service network of the entire Hendrix Genetics group – was the core rationale for bringing Danish Pig Genetics and Hypor together. These numbers show that rationale is already bearing fruit.”
From Danish Roots to Global Reach
Through 2024 the partners stepped up joint investment in genomic selection, digital phenotyping and sustainability traits. The process of the integration between Danish Pig Genetics and Hypor started early 2025 with the goal to give producers access to a portfolio of world class products covering customer needs globally and ensuring faster genetic progress in feed efficiency, robustness and animal welfare. Shared data sets, testing facilities and specialist know-how are enabling quicker delivery of high-health genetics – benefits now felt by a growing customer base on every continent.
Outlook: Building on Momentum
Looking ahead, management remains optimistic. Priorities for the coming year include accelerating the Research & Development efforts focusing on low-carbon breeding goals, enhancing the customer experience with expanding the customer support teams and deepening local partnerships that turn genetic potential into reliable performance for a maximum total system profitability.
Although market volatility is expected to persist, the group is confident it can build on its positive momentum and continue to strengthen its offering to producers worldwide.
