Full Ownership Marks Next Step for Hendrix Genetics Swine

Boxmeer, The Netherlands – September 17, 2026 – Hendrix Genetics announces that it has acquired full ownership of Hendrix Genetics Swine, marking the next step in the integration and development of its global swine genetics activities.

Hendrix Genetics Swine was established following the merger of Hypor and Danish Genetics, bringing together the strengths of both organizations. The company was established through a joint venture between Hendrix Genetics and its Danish partners, combining breeding, multiplication, and distribution activities within a single swine organization.

The transition to full ownership by Hendrix Genetics represents the logical next step in the continued integration and development of the swine business and reflects the progress made since the formation of the partnership nearly two years ago.

A key milestone in the integration journey was the launch of Nexus 100, the first product developed following the merger of the two organizations. Introduced last year, Nexus reflects the complementary strengths of both breeding programs and serves as an example of the progress achieved through the integration.

“Since bringing together the expertise of Hypor and Danish Genetics, we have made significant progress in building a unified swine genetics business,” said Richard Maatman, Chief Executive Officer of Hendrix Genetics. “Moving to a fully integrated ownership structure is a natural next step in the integration process. It enables us to operate with greater clarity, speed, and alignment while continuing to create value for customers around the world."

The strong relationship between Hendrix Genetics and its Danish partners will continue to play an important role for Hendrix Genetics Swine: “We highly value the contribution, expertise, network and long-term commitment of our Danish partners,” said Maatman. “Their farms, deep industry knowledge, network, and commitment remain vital to our success. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years ahead while building on the strong legacy they have helped create.”

Dennis Jorgensen

Looking ahead, Dennis Jørgensen will assume the role of Managing Director of the swine activities of Hendrix Genetics, effective September 1, 2026. Dennis will lead the integrated swine organization and continue to build on the complementary strengths of Hypor and Danish Genetics while supporting the further development of the business.

As part of this next step in the integration journey, Hendrix Genetics Swine will move forward as the Swine Business Unit of Hendrix Genetics, reinforcing its position as a fully integrated part of the company's global multi-species organization while maintaining a dedicated focus on serving swine producers worldwide.

Through the combined strengths of its people, genetics programs, production network, and partnerships, the Swine Business Unit of Hendrix Genetics will continue to focus on delivering sustainable genetic progress and helping customers address the evolving challenges of pork production.
